MEET MANISH SHAH
Retail leadership across India and Africa.
I am a retailer, blogger and believer in people’s potential. PeakBelt is where I turn the lessons of leading businesses and large teams into practical help for working professionals.
WHY I STARTED PEAKBELT
Experience becomes more valuable when it helps someone else grow.
My retail career has taken me across states, markets and cultures—from senior roles in India to country and operating leadership in Nigeria, Angola and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Along the way, I came to believe that capable professionals often need more practical support: how to lead people, communicate their value, use new tools wisely and keep moving when the work becomes difficult. I created PeakBelt to share what experience has taught me and help other professionals build their own advantage.

WHAT “BELIEVER” MEANS TO ME
Believe in people’s potential. Keep faith when progress is difficult. Persist long enough to help good work become visible.
What leading large teams has taught me.
Leadership at scale is never only about plans and numbers. It is about giving people clarity, building trust across layers of a team and creating the conditions in which others can take responsibility.
Large teams have also taught me that consistency matters. People watch what a leader repeats, recognises and follows through on. Faith in people must show up in the way we listen, set expectations, coach and hold one another accountable.
These are the kinds of lessons I want to explore honestly on PeakBelt: lessons shaped by real operating environments, different cultures and the daily work of bringing people together around a result.
